Rethink Possible Initiative is a one-on-one mentoring program as well as a group mentoring program that matches caring, adults with youth. Men and women set aside one or more hours a week to care for a child that desperately need an adult friend, a guide, a role model. Our mentors fill the gap for children who are growing up in an environment with sometimes few resources, bringing them the love, guidance and encouragement they need. You don’t have to be a trained psychologist, or a social worker. You just need to be willing to have fun, care and encourage, and share your experiences.

Mentors and their mentees build friendships while sharing a variety of activities like sporting events, theater, the arts, group picnics, community service involvement, college visits this list is limitless. They explore new skills and academic pursuits. Most importantly, mentors introduce children to positive decisions making skills allowing them to build their lives on a solid foundation.

Rethink Possible Initiative mentors are rigorously screened. As a mentor, you’ll receive comprehensive initial training and regular contact with a Mentor Supervisor. And although Rethink Possible Initiative has one-on-one and group mentoring, Rethink Possible Initiative provides extensive support every step of the way, throughout your relationship with your mentee.

Rethink Possible Initiative targets youth between 7 and 21.

Time won’t wait for children without a place to turn. They just keep getting older and closer to destruction. They need to know there is a hero who has a plan for their lives. Will you be a hero?
